BWU participated in the 19th national university logistics professional teaching seminar and the Innovation Development Summit Forum of logistics and supply chain industry education integration
From September 26 to 27, 2020, the "19th national university logistics professional teaching seminar and forum on innovation and development of logistics and supply chain industry and education integration" was held in Kunming, sponsored by China Federation of logistics and purchase and guided by the Teaching Steering Committee of logistics management and engineering of colleges and universities of the Ministry of education. With the theme of "creating first class, improving quality and opening up a new bureau", the meeting focused on the development of logistics industry, the construction of first-class logistics specialty and the cultivation of first-class talents, and carried out in-depth discussions on logistics and supply chain personnel training, curriculum ideological and political construction, teaching reform, teachers' professional development and improvement of scientific research ability. At the same time, the signing and launching ceremony of the 7th National College Students logistics design competition of "Sinotrans Cup" was held. More than 600 people attended the meeting, including members of the logistics education committee, leaders of logistics colleges and universities, discipline leaders, professional teachers, representatives of the logistics industry and enterprises.
On the morning of September 26, Professor He Mingke, deputy director and vice president of the National College Logistics Professional Education Instruction Committee, delivered a keynote speech entitled "practice and thinking of national first-class specialty construction". Combining with the changing situation of international higher education development, the development needs of China's logistics industry and the practice of building a national first-class specialty, the paper puts forward the following thoughts. That is, focusing on the national strategy, speeding up the construction of disciplines and specialties, accelerating the construction of discipline and specialty theoretical system, speeding up the establishment of national first-class specialty construction evaluation standards, accelerating the construction of curriculum system and teaching material system, continuing to carry out the reform of teaching methods, continuing the construction of teaching investment and education conditions, increasing the attraction and training of excellent and top teachers, and building perfect logistics management and engineering personnel training ecology, strengthen more extensive practical cooperation and sharing.
On the afternoon of September 26, the Forum on the integration of industry, University and research in the context of intelligent logistics was presided over by Professor Jiang Xu, President of the school of logistics. Professor Zhang Xufeng, President of the graduate school, introduced in detail the specific experience of the integration of industry and education in the logistics management major with the theme of "exploration and practice of the mode of collaborative education of production and education" of logistics management specialty. Professor Rui Jiaming, vice president of the school of logistics, delivered a speech entitled "innovation and development of supply chain management" and introduced the specific situation of supply chain management specialty for the guests. Relevant teachers of logistics management and purchase management major attended the meeting and actively participated in the discussion and exchange. At the same time, President Jiang Xu proposed that the 40th anniversary of the founding of BWU will be held on October 18, 2020. I hope that experts, scholars and teachers can guide the exchange.
On the evening of September 26, the Logistics Education Instruction Committee convened six working groups of logistics management, logistics engineering, purchase management, supply chain management, cold chain management and young teachers. Among them, the meeting of purchasing management professional working group is presided over by Professor Jiang Xu, Dean of Logistics School, and adopts the meeting mode of combination of online and offline. After heated discussion, the participants reached a consensus that they should deeply understand the connotation of purchase, improve the attractiveness of purchase management specialty, compile a set of textbooks with independent intellectual property rights, and establish a sharing mechanism for purchase majors in Colleges and universities. At the meeting, President Jiang Xu presented the letter of appointment to the members of the purchase working group. Teachers of purchase management major in Logistics College actively participate in the round table meeting to discuss the future development direction of purchase management specialty.
On the morning of September 27, a round table meeting on the construction of first-class logistics specialty and discipline theoretical system was held, which was presided over by Professor He Mingke, vice president of BWU. The meeting focused on the current situation of logistics specialty and discipline system, as well as the discipline foundation work needed for the construction of first-class specialty and discipline theoretical system.
Through the participation of the teaching seminar of Logistics Specialty in Colleges and universities, the comprehensive strength of BWU in the training of logistics professionals and the innovation of education mode is demonstrated once again. Through the exchange with representatives from all walks of life, we not only obtained the latest information in the field of logistics major construction, but also showed the latest achievements of our school in the training of logistics professionals. This conference is of great significance to further promote the construction of logistics specialty, deepen the reform of logistics teaching in Colleges and universities, and promote the cultivation of more practical talents in line with the needs of the logistics industry.
