Introduction:
Management Science and Engineering subject was set up in 1996, characterized in logistics research, guided by government logistics policy, aiming to explore key method and technology in logistics management and engineering. Management Science and Engineering subject equip students with logistics and related area’s theory, technology and method, making students know the development, trend and problem, get knowledge of management, economics, system science, mathematics and computer, have the ability to solve problem, undertake related work independently.
Research Direction:
Direction 1: Optimization Theory and Method
Optimization theory and method mainly research modeling and optimization analysis and gaming of complex system design and operation under the complex circumstance of big data. Main area include big scale complex system optimization design & operation management; data mining & practice research.
Direction 2: Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Logistics and Supply Chain Management direction focuses on enterprises’ logistics system optimization design, city distribution, supply chain tragedy, logistics net, resource distribution and optimization etc, aiming to set domestic supply chain theory system and provide optimization scheme for logistics system planning, logistics network optimization, logistics resource integration, logistics system running optimization. Main area include logistics and supply chain system theory research; enterprises logistics system; city logistics
Direction 3: Information Technology and Management
Information Technology and Management direction considering needs of modern administration and service, explore method and practice of complex system organization’s intelligentization, digitalizing, automation. Main area include smart logistics system’s organization and cooperation research, business intelligence research.
Direction 4: Procurement Theory and Method
Procurement Theory and Method direction focus on government procurement, big scale commodity procurement and construction of local procurement theory system. Main areas include procurement management theory and operation system optimization; procurement commodity quality control.
Logistics Engineering starts from 2005. It integrates the constructional and quantitive research method of engineering and logistics management. It optimizes logistics and supply chain system and improves its efficiency and value.
Direction 1: Enterprises Logistics
Focusing on producing, distributing, e-business and logistics companies’ problems, Enterprises Logistics uses practical method, modeling, simulation to explore how to optimize logistics net, transportation, storage and performance evaluation etc. 9 mentors consult large companies and also guide students to solve complex questions in logistics engineering.
Direction 2: City and Area Logistics
Focusing on city logistics, using theory of system theory, synergy, industrial cluster, growth pole, point axis development, network layout and so on, City and Area Logistics tries to explore city logistics system construction, node layout, logistics network, urban distribution, information system, policy plan and urban logistics management etc. 17 mentors form a research team and guide the students to discover and solve problems.
Direction 3: Smart Logistics
Based on internet of things, smart logistics utilizes information technology, cloud calculation, big data, artificial intelligence and intelligent logistics equipment to fulfill whole processing including transportation, storage, distribution, packaging, loading and uploading etc. so that to maximize profit, minimize consuming of natural and social resources and provide best service. The three characteristic areas are covered: smart logistics systematical optimization, internet of things & big data, smart logistics equipment & system research. 38 mentors who undertake multiple national science fund programs and municipal scientific programs lead students to participate in programs to acquire problem-solving ability.
Directions 4: Supply Chain Management
In order to minimize cost of enterprise from raw material buying to consumer receiving, focusing on realistic problems of international supply chain construction, enterprises’ resource configuration, logistics system optimization, regional economy layout and sustainable economy development, supply chain management direction utilizes economy, administration, gaming, system theories and information technology, big data technology to explore enterprises’ decision making, profit distribution, risk reorganization and control, chain stability etc. 22 mentors who undertaking multiple fund programs and enterprises’ committed programs are teaching students via problem-solving methods.
